The most influential product recommender just put her name on the Amazon Kindle eBook reader. Oprah says that she got the Kindle over the summer and it changed her life. "It's absolutely my new favorite thing in the world" she said.
This endorsement has huge value. Oprah is no early adopter as the Kindle has been on the market since last Holiday season. Oprah is a guide for the masses though. She can make or break a book with her little finger.
If you are into adopting eBooks the Kindle is a great choice despite its questionable ("ugly") design. Oprah has of course something to give. You get a $50 discount on the Amazon Kindle with the code OPRAHWINFREY until November 1st.
This coupon code brings down the Kindle price from $359 to only $309. Via the Oprah Winfrey site.
Kindle is still in stock. So either the Oprah effect only works on books or Amazon has huge stock of Kindle eBook readers.
