Acer's President Gianfranco Lanci sees the company taking 50% of the netbook market in 2009.
Acer indeed has a hot selling netbook with the Acer Aspire One right now on the market. Acer has shipped around 2.4 million netbooks in the 3rd quarter and says that demand for the Aspire One is still climbing in the U.S. market. Acer sees the global netbook market growing to 30-35 million units in 2009.
2009 will possibly see a dramatic price cut for netbooks as Asus already said that they will hit the $200 mark for netbooks in 2009.
