Sony DCR-SX63 Flash Memory Handycam Is Up For Pre-order

The Sony DCR-SX63 debuted at CES 2010. It has a built-in 16GB embedded Flash Memory which can record almost 12 hours of footage when in LP mode. Perfect for wildlife, sporting events or distance shooting, the 60X optical zoom brings you closer to the action, so you can capture extremely tight shots, even from far away. In addition, Digital Zoom Interpolation means that extreme digital zooming up to 2000X is clearer, with less distortion than previous types of digital zooms.

It features the 2.7” Clear Photo LCD3 display which provides for wonderful viewing clarity with 230K pixels resolution. The DCR-SX63 has a display that rotates up to 270 degrees for many viewing angles, as well as provides sharp, detailed images for monitoring or playback. It has an easy to use touch panel that allows you access to menus and additional functionality such as spot focus and spot metering. The Sony DCR-SX63 also has the professional quality Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens that is designed for compact camcorders, and SteadyShot image stabilization helps reduce blur caused by camera shake.

With the DCR-SX63 you can now store your memories in a whole new way with the ability to copy videos from you camcorder directly to an external hard disk drive which is sold separately, all without the use of a computer. The camcorder can also access videos stored on the external hard drive for playback on your HDTV, allowing you to utilize the camcorder’s handy playback feature. The DCR-SX63 also has Face Detection Technology and Dolby Digital stereo recording built-in zoom microphone so you can hear the person you are focused on more loudly than noise around the person.
