Intel officially announced the new Core i7 CPUs and platform promising completely new levels of performance. In early November the Core i7 reviews hit the web and now finally the first Core i7 hardware components and systems are slowly becoming available for purchase.
Update: This Core i7 Rig disappeared, but now NewEgg sells the Core i7 CPUs and X58 Motherboards. Amazon.com sells now several Core i7 Gaming Desktop Systems.
Hardware and Electronics retailer NewEgg is offering one of the first Core i7 Gaming PCs I have seen so far.
The iBUYPOWER Gamer Supreme 964i Intel Core i7 system features the Core i7 940 CPU at 2.93GHz, 6GB DDR3 RAM, 1TB SATA HDD, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280 video card and Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit.
Other features of the iBUYPOWER Gamer Supreme 964i Intel Core i7 system include LG 6X Blu-Ray High Definition Combo DVD Drive, 20X DL DVD+/-RW Drive, ADI AD2000B 8-channel High Definition Audio CODEC, Logitech Deluxe Keyboard and Logitech Optical Mouse.
This Core i7 iBUYPOWER sells for $2,449.99 on NewEgg.
