The Western Digital Caviar drives combine a high performance electronics structure with a solid mechanical structure to deliver the perfect storage solution for your fully-loaded PC or maxed out gaming machine. It has a Dual processor for twice the processing power to get full performance. It also features 32MB cache for bigger, faster performance.

The Stable Trac means the motor shaft is secured at both ends to reduce system-induced vibrations and stabilize platters for accurate tracking, during read and write operations. The Western Digital Caviar also has No Touch ramp load technology which means the recording head never touches the disk media ensuring significantly less wear to the recording head and media as well as better drive protection in transit.

It boasts massive capacity with 3.5-inch SATA drives that are available in capacities up to 1 TB. The SATA hard drives also combine 7200RPM spin speed, 32 MB or 64MB cache, SATA 3 Gb/s interface and up to 2 TD capacity for the ultimate in power computing. The Western Digital Caviar has had hundreds of systems tests that help to ensure that it will work in your systems. It also features Data Lifeguard that is an exclusive set of data protection features, including shock protection, an environmental protection system and real time embedded error detection and repair.
