Motorola announced a new budget prices handset that will be exclusive to Cricket Communications and Metro PCS Communications called the MOTO VE240. The phone has a candy bar style and offers features like MP3 capability and Stereo Bluetooth.

The handset can handle up to 4GB of removable memory and offers a speakerphone for hands free talking. USB 2.0 file transfer capability between the phone and a PC makes it easy to transfer tunes to the device. Pricing information on the handset is not available at this time.

"MOTO VE240 will help consumers further enjoy the benefits offered by two of the nation's top providers of unlimited wireless communications with its many features and great looks," said Kathleen Finato, vice president of sales, Motorola. "We are delighted to offer the features most important to consumers with impressive quality at an unbelievable value."
