Ultimate Ears has announced its latest earphones called the Super.FI 5 and Super.Fi 5vi. These are the first earphones on the market that use top-fire-armature speaker design for enhanced audio in a compact shape.
The armature allows the headphones to be more compact with a smaller more ergonomic form and deliver premium sound. Frequency response is 15 Hz to 15 kHz. The difference in the 5 and the 5vi is that the 5vi includes a mic on the cable and is intended for use with the iPhone or other music phones. The Super.Fi 5 retails for $169.99 and the Super.Fi 5vi retails for $189.99. Both sets are available now.
“This addition to the Super.Fi family reflects the evolution Ultimate Ears is experiencing,” said Philippe Depallens, Logitech vice president and general manager of Ultimate Ears. “As we continue to grow and expand our product offering, we strive to remain on the cutting edge of the industry by developing new technologies. With the new Super.Fi 5 and Super.Fi 5vi earphones, we’ve created an exceptional listening experience in a sleeker design for our fashion-conscious customers.”
