It looks like Windows 7 is going to be most likely the smoothest Windows release in history. The so called RTM (Release to Manufacturing) build is said to be decided by July 13th. At least this is the date GeekSmack (via Ars Technica) reports. July 13th is also the start of the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference (site).
The release of Windows 7 is scheduled for October 22nd and as reported you can save a lot of money if you pre-order Windows 7 now.
Of course it would be really tragic if Microsoft is missing major issues that will hit millions of Windows 7 customers, so the pick of the right build for RTM is crucial. So far the beta and the Release candidate of Windows 7 already got great reviews. All is set for a smash hit for Microsoft with Windows 7.
