The Asus Eee Box tiny PC just got more attractive as new models add an HDMI port. The New Eee Box B204 and B206 feature HDMI to connect directly to HDTVs. Asus bundles Eee Cinema, a full-featured media player that enables users to play high definition videos.
Asus also added a remote control to the B204 and B206 to make them convenient for HTPC.
The new Eee Boxes are equipped with a discrete graphics card that features a high definition hardware video decoder, vastly improving the quality of video and freeing the Eee Box’s processor to tackle other tasks.
Asus also upped the HDD space to 160GB in the B204 and B206. We already featured the Asus Eee Box as one of our Top 10 PCs for Christmas 2008. The new Eee Box PCs are even better, but pricing and release date is still open.
What is still missing in the Eee Box to become a real HTPC would be a tuner card and DVR software.
