The next step is to combine 3D movies with live football games, and that is just what the NFL, 3ality, and RealD are doing. The three firms are teaming up to provide a live 3D broadcast of the NFL game playing tonight between the Chargers and the Raiders.
The catch is that the 3D broadcast will only be available in select 3D enabled theaters in Boston, Hollywood, and New York. If the movie theaters can pull this off without any hitches, I can see watching 3D football games at movie theaters being a huge success for the theaters, especially during the Super Bowl.
