iGo will be unveiling a green laptop charger at CES 2009 that eliminates vampire power and a new line of chargers for netbooks. The iGo Laptop Charger charges a laptop and other devices from a wall outlet and features automatic shut-off and recovery to stop charging once the battery is full.

The company claims that the shut-off feature makes the charger use 80% less power than other notebook chargers on the market. A surge protector and wall outlet will also be offered at CES that have the same power saving features.

Netbook chargers will be offered that can power a netbook and an additional device like a smartphone at the same time. Mobile workers who go with a laptop want ultimate portability and being able to shed an additional charger makes traveling even lighter.
