Wrath of the Lich King set a new record for fastest selling PC game in the first 24 hours of availability when it sold 2.8 million copies. According to Blizzard, the game has now sold more than 4 million copies worldwide.
In late October, WoW had a subscriber base of 11 million users, so in only a few months it has grown by 500,000 users. That should mean the announcement of 12 million users worldwide is made soon.
