CES 2009 is always a hotbed of new gear and products for the home theater fan. This year Gefen will be showing off a pair of new wireless extension solutions that allow HDTVs to be placed in difficult installation locations like the ceiling or on a wall without having to run wires to the set.

The GefenTV Wireless for 1080p Full HD is able to extend HD video and audio via HDMI up to 30 feet from the source using 60Hz UWB technology. All HDMI devices are supported from Blu-ray players to game consoles.

Another product is called the GefenTV Wireless for VGA, which uses 082.11 technology to extend a display 33 feet in a line of site from the sender. Both units feature two-channel stereo audio and a RS-232 connection. Pricing and availability information is unknown.
