The LED backlit sets are said to run in size from 40” to 55" and feature huge contrast ratios, slim designs, and other extras. The top of the line set will be the 8000 series that is reported to feature a 240Hz refresh rate.
Some of the new HDTVs will feature integrated Ethernet and wireless-ready designs to allow access to Internet content like Yahoo! Widgets, Flickr and other services. Most of the new TVs are set for availability in the first half of 2009.
