Shoppers looking for an iPhone on a budget can get their hands on a $99 iPhone 3G though from a handful of select retailers. The $99 version of the handset is a refurb 8GB model for $99 with a new 2-year contract through the end of the year.
Users who want more storage can get the 16Gb iPhone for $199. Refurb iPhones aren’t new; AT&T has previously offered them for $149. Rumors keep persisting that a $99 version is coming soon, but for now, the 8GB refurb is the cheapest way to get an iPhone, at least for the next few days.
