CES 2009 declares ultra-large TVs as uncool

In the past CES shows the company which shows the biggest Plasma or LCD HDTV won. This year it is way more important to show the thinnest TV possible. We have already come far enough that ultra-large TVs look very uncool. Just compare the 15 inch 0.85mm OLED TV from LG (left) to the 108 inch Sharp HDTV (right) in the photo. Suddenly screen size does not matter anymore only the sexy thinness of the display.
I am sure I will not start watching TV on a 15 inch display just because its thin. But thinner TVs are now the new goal as they are perceived as hot and stylish.
