Super Bowl 2009 draws closer and for many (most) of us it is not about the Baseball (mhm?, or is Football?) game, it is about the Super Bowl ads. On January 31st CBS is airing the Super Bowl's Greatest Commercials 2009 show at 8pm featuring the 10 greatest Super Bowl commercials of all times.
The last 6 years the Coca-Cola Super Bowl ad "Mean Joe Greene" has won every time. This year CBS is retiring the ad to make room for the new comers. The CBS show will also offer sneak peaks of Super Bowl 2009 Commercials. As reported there will be for the first time a 3D Super Bowl Ad.
The screen grab is from the Bud Light "Worst Nightmare" ad.
You can vote and watch for your favorite Super Bowl Ad of all times on the CBS site. Via MSNBC.
Super Bowl 2009 will be happening on Sunday February 1st. This Super Bowl is a treat for geeks that is why we will cover it even more than in 2008. Despite the recession a 30 second of a Super Bowl Ad cost about $3m and there should be again lots of must see Commercials. There will be for instance the first 3D Super Bowl Ads and lots of Super Bowl Ads featuring new 2009 Sci-fi Movies including the new Star Trek and the next Transformers movie. So make sure you have your Super Bowl sized LCD HDTV and NFL Gear ready.
