Powerline networking offers great promise to people who want a network in their entire home, but can't get a decent signal with a wireless router and don’t have networking cable ran throughout the entire home.

Buffalo has a new powerline networking kit that promises speeds of up to 200 Mbps over the power lines already installed in your home. The new kit is called the PL2-UPA-L1/S and is 30% smaller than previous Buffalo powerline networking components.

The kit can be used to provide network connectivity to anything from your computer to your game console anywhere in the home that an AC outlet is available. The kit uses the DS2 chipset and is compatible with all other DS2 chipset devices on the market.
