The Microsoft Message is that Windows 7 is less resource hungry compared to Vista and should also run nicely on lower end hardware like Atom powered Netbooks.

If you do not want to test Windows 7 beta yourself on a netbook, CNet has done it for you. The initial results show that Windows 7 beta runs on netbooks and performs well enough, albeit not astonishing.
