BlackBerry Storm already sold 1 million says Verizon

Verizon posted some good earnings for last quarter. According to Computer World the carrier said that the BlackBerry Storm smart phone has already sold 1 million units through January 2009.
Sale of the BlackBerry Storm started on November 21st. Yesterday we ran a story that features a WSJ reported number of 500,000 Storm phones sold in the first month. Apparently Verizon was able to keep up the launch momentum and reached the respectable 1 million milestone. This cannot be described as a bumpy start, at least not in reference to the sale number.
It is extremely surprising that the Storm found already 1 million owners despite the horrible reviews, bugs, and sluggish update management.
