What I didn’t think about was the new Palm Pre that was such a hit at CES. One of the core technologies behind the Pre is multi-touch and gesture navigation. Laptop magazine has talked to Palm and it seems that Palm isn’t scared of Apple's new patent.
Palm spokesperson Lynn fox told Laptop that the company is on more than solid ground if legal trouble ensues. Palm also says that it doesn’t expect the patent to delay the launch of its Pre handset. I guess we will see how this pans out. Apple has been making thinly veiled threats against the Pre for a while now. Apparently, even Apple thinks the Pre could be the iPhones toughest competition.
