Pedigree Super Bowl Ad comes with barking iPhone App

Mars owned dog food Pedigree is making its first Super Bowl ad appearance at Super Bowl 2009. The Pedigree Crazy Pets Super Bowl ad, which you can already view below is joined by an iPhone App release.
The Pedigree Shake & Bark iPhone App will be launched on January 30th and should become a big hit amongst dog owners.
The Pedigree iPhone App displays a photo of your dog and when you shake the iPhone it barks. I don’t think though you can customize the barking yet. Maybe in Pedigree iPhone App 2.0 you will be able to do that. To associate Super Bowl ads with gadgets or social web services is a new trend, as are 3D TV Ads this year. We already reported about the ETrade Baby which you can follow on Twitter.

More details and videos on the Pedigree Super Bowl page. You actually help dogs in animal shelters as Pedigree donates a bowl of food for each iPhone App download and video watched.

Super Bowl 2009 will be happening on Sunday February 1st. This Super Bowl is a treat for geeks that is why we will cover it even more than in 2008. Despite the recession a 30 second Super Bowl Ad costs about $3m and there should be lots of must see Commercials again. There will be for instance the first 3D Super Bowl Ads and lots of Super Bowl Ads featuring new 2009 Sci-fi Movies including the new Star Trek and the next Transformers movie. Do not forget to get your 3D Glasses for hot Super Bowl 3D Ads.
