T-Mobile says that it added 621,000 new customers in Q4 2008 compared to 670,000 new customers in Q3 2008. T-Mobile says that the gross number of new customers for 2008 was offset by higher churn rates. New customers totaled 267,000 in Q4 2008.
New customers to its pre-paid service numbered 355,000 in Q4 2008 compared to 377,000 the previous quarter. T-Mobile says that thanks to the G1 and other 3G enabled devices 40% of the phones sold on contracts were converged with over half of them 3G enabled.
