Samsung has announced findings from a national survey that the firm commissioned. According to the survey results, an HDTV can entice the spouse to visit the in-laws if it means watching the Super Bowl in HD.

The survey showed that football fans were willing to watch the Super Bowl somewhere other than home (even the in-laws) if there was a big enough incentive. Obviously, a HDTV, free beer and free food is enough incentive for many football fans.

The survey found that men were 50% more likely to agree to visit the in-laws if there was a HDTV and football involved. I can only say it would take much more than a HDTV and a big game to get me to willingly go to my in-laws.
