I will admit that before I started using my iPhone I thought gaming on a mobile phone was stupid. All of the games I had played on other mobile phones had poor graphics, bad controls and just were not fun. The iPhone changed all of that with great graphics, good controls, and fun games.

Many of today's smartphones offer good gaming experiences for users, which is helping the mobile gaming industry grow according to comScore. The analytics firm says that its latest numbers show that the mobile gaming audience grew 17% from November 2007 to November 2008.

In November 2008, 8.5 million people or 3.8% of mobile subscribers downloaded a game to their mobile phone. The most popular gaming platforms according to the metrics are the iPhone and Blackberry Curve.
