The drives offer power efficiency and storage capacity. Seagate PowerChoice is integrated allowing the drives to decrease power consumption by up to 54%. The 2.5-inch drive is available in 160GB and 500GB capacities in SATA and SAS 2.0 interfaces.
The 3.5-inch constellation ES drive will be offered in 500GB, 1TB, and 2TB capacities with SAS and SATA versions. The 2TB Constellation is the world's only 7200 rpm 2TB 3.5-inch HDD. The Constellation drives will ship in Q3 2009 and promise up to 1.2 million hours MTBF.
