Apple updated the low-end MacBook with new hardware a couple weeks ago. The still white cased Apple MacBook MB881LL/A already is leading the sales charts of MacBooks on Amazon.com. If you actually forget that their are netbooks on the market, the Apple MacBook is actually the bestselling notebook.
Amazon.com sells the new MacBook MB881LL/A for $959.99, which is $40 less than Apple charges for it, which might help sales. The updated Apple MacBook MB881LL/A has the Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, 2GB DDR2 Memory, 120GB hard drive HDD and the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics card.
There are still the previous MacBooks on sale in stores like the MacBook MB403LL/A. Make sure you stay away from them unless they are a real bargain compared to the unibody MacBooks.
The low-end white Apple MacBook is two spots ahead in the overall notebook sales charts on Amazon of the unibody Apple MacBook MB466LL selling for $1,259.
