According to the Guardian Samsung is delaying the release of their first Google Android smartphones.
Samsung will not show an Android phone at the MWC 2009 next week and has postponed the Android phone launch to the 2nd half of 2009.
Samsung did not really specify a reason on why they are delaying the Android entry. The Guardian article mentions the new updated Samsung Tocco (Samsung Ultra Touch S8300 as being the new flagship phone for the UK.

With Samsung withdrawing their Android showing from the MWC 2009 it will be interesting to see how strong the Android line-up will be at the MWC 2009. At the CES 2009 Android was already absent. If they miss MWC 2009 as well it would raise some serious questions.

The Mobile World Congress 2009 (MWC 2009) is starting on February 16th and lasts until the 19th. The MWC 2009 (former 3GSM) takes place again in Barcelona.
