A company from the UK called Antenova has announced a new antenna that allows mobile handsets to capture and watch digital TV broadcasts. The antenna is designed for small form factor mobile devices and received digital UHF TV services.

The device can tune into the UHF 470-860MHz band covering frequencies used for DVB-TV, DVB-H, ATSC, and ISDB-T. The operating frequency is tuned with pulse-width modulation output from the receiver.

The tunable mobile TV antenna will be shown at MWC this week. Exactly when the antenna will be integrated into mobile devices is unknown. The added cost for the antenna is also unknown at this time.
