Gateway Launches New TC Notebooks

Gateway launched its MC line of notebooks last summer that included a 16-inch version and followed that up with a 15.4-inch MD series. The notebooks used a very similar chassis that had an elegant look to it. Today Gateway has announced the new 14-inch TC Series that uses the same chassis design.

The 14-inch TC notebook will have a screen resolution of 1366 x 768 and an aspect ratio of 16:9. Two colors will be offered including burgundy and black, both with a textured palm rest area. The machine will run Windows Vista Home Premium.

The CPU is an Intel Pentium dual-core T4200 and the machine has 4GB of RAM with graphics via Intel GMA4500M. Storage is a 320GB HDD and a DVD burner is built-in as well. Power will come from a 6-cell lithium ion battery. Overall weight for the system is 5.3 pounds. Prices will start at $649.99.
