The systems that met the criteria for the military specifications included the ThinkPad X200, X301, X200s, X200 Tablet, T400, T500, R400, and SL300 laptops. Lenovo says that it also added a new and brighter optional 680-nit high brightness panel to its most popular laptop.
Lenovo says that its laptops passed more military specifications than Dell's ATG line and Panasonic's business-rugged and semi-rugged laptops. The features that Lenovo integrates into the machines that allows them to meet the stringent specifications include an active protection system, roll cage in some models, shock mounted hard drives and a spill resistant keyboard.
