Among the new features is a heads up display that allows the customization of maps and to control terrain settings, overlay, opacity, and play/pause loop. The radar now has a time stamp loop and the satellite view is animated. Data caching allows users to look at previous weather conditions when a network isn’t available.
Unit conversions in inches or millibars for pressure and Celsius or Fahrenheit are available and the application will notify users when a network isn’t available. MyWeather Mobile uses Microsoft Virtual Earth technology to allow the viewing of weather in any part of the country.
