Besides the new BeBook WiFi eBook reader a eBook reader dubbed Boox will also be unveiled at the CeBIT 2009 this week.
Onyx International from China is offering the Boox eBook reader. The device sports a touchscreen display (apparently all new eBook readers besides Kindle 2 have a touchscreen...). Looks like Onyx International is not planning on offering their eBook reader directly. They rather look for OEM customers as their specifications give options like 6, 8 or 9.7 inch screen sizes.Other features of the Boox eBook reader can include Wi-Fi, CDMA 1XRTT, GPRS, 3G, 400Mhz CPU, 128MB RAM, 512MB Flash or more, SD card slot, 2.5mm headphone jack and USB 2.0 with OTG.
Boox supports PDF, TXT, HTML, MOBIPOCKET, EPUB, CHM, PDB, JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP, TIFF, MP3, and WAV.
Additional formats support in the future
