Sprint announced today that they will launch the Palm Treo Pro Windows smartphone on March 15th. What we really want from Sprint is to announce the availability of the new Palm Pre. The only thing we know is that it is supposed to come sometime in the first half of 2009. Palm unveiled the Treo Pro way back in August of 2008.

Treo Pro is the first Palm phone available with Internet Explorer Mobile 6 (Windows Mobile 6.1), with options for either a mobile-optimized or desktop-like Internet browsing experience.
Other features of the Palm Treo Pro include 320 x 320px transflective color TFT 1.74" w x 1.74" h touchscreen, Wifi, GPS, Bluetooth, microSD card slot, 2MP camera and speakerphone.

Treo Pro will be available through all Sprint retail channels for $199.99 with a two-year subscriber agreement (after a $100 instant rebate and $100 mail-in rebate, with an Everything plan with data or a $30 per month or higher data add-on).
