GE has announced a new line of digital cameras including the new waterproof G3WP camera. The camera is waterproof to 10 feet deep and perfect for pool parties or trips to the beach. The camera is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and has other features you expect on a digital camera today.

Resolution for the camera is 12.2-megapixels; it has 4x optical zoom and electronics image stabilization. The rear LCD is 2.7-inches and the camera has up to ISO 3200 sensitivity. Automatic features include auto scene detection, blink detection, smile detection, face detection and red eye removal.

GE also includes a feature that helps users to capture panoramic images by splicing different images into one photo. To use the feature the users just pan the camera around the scene and it capture and stitches the images together automatically. Pricing is unknown at this time.
