Apple calls out an event on March 17th to preview the upcoming iPhone 3.0 OS. Update: iPhone 3.0 Firmware gets unveiled today
Looks like Apple gets antsy because of the Palm Pre hype to show the world what the next generation iPhone operating system version is all about.
The iPhone 3.0 firmware is rumored to support multi-core CPUs and background processes.
Apple is apparently only giving a sneak peak at the iPhone 3.0 system and a look at the new iPhone SDK. If Apple is going to unveil a new iPhone 2009 yet is unlikely.
