iPhone 3.0 supports USB Tethering unofficially

It is the most normal thing you would want to do with a 3G phone. Connect it via a USB cable to your notebook and use it as a modem. The iPhone said no to this unless you jailbreak it. Now a developer discovered that the new iPhone 3.0 firmware has USB Tethering built-in.
Let's hope it stays and carriers give up on the idea of selling us an iPhone and a 3G data card. Apple has said that there is tethering inside the iPhone 3.0 OS, but details still need to be negotiated with carriers.
