Microsoft announced the final release of Internet Explorer 8 (IE8).
IE8 can be downloaded in 25 languages starting at noon EDT today March 19th.
Microsoft developed Internet Explorer 8 to focus on what matters most to people. Based on a study security is on the top of our list.
The security enhancements of IE8 offer protection against existing and emerging security threats online.
IE8 blocks two to four times more malware attacks than other browsers; cuts down on the time it takes to complete common tasks on the Web such as searching, mapping and sharing, including navigating 15 of the 20 top worldwide sites; and blurs the lines between the services they use daily and the browser used to access the Internet.
Microsoft says that IE8 is beating other top browsers in page load time on almost 50 percent of the 25 top comScore Inc. Web sites. The IE8 review of Walt Mossberg says that his tests show that IE8 is the slowest browser. It is safe to say IE8 is faster than IE7 and that is what matters for most IE users anyway.
You will be able to download IE8 here.
