Havok has announced the release of a new middleware SDK called Havok AI. The SDK is designed to make it easier for developers to perform pathfinding and character integration in games during development. Pathfinding is technology that lets characters in games navigate through the game environment.

The new Havok AI makes pathfinding easier for developers by providing a highly optimized and robust automatic nav mesh generator. The SDK also offers dynamic pathfinding, an extensible and customizable pathfinding solution, advanced predictive local steering, and integrates out of the box with other Havok products like Havok physics, Destruction, Animation, and Behavior.
