I have many fond memories of the first Max Payne game with its innovative graphical style and the first time I saw slow motion effects like Bullet Time. The game was fantastic and proved so popular a recent movie was made based on the game. We can be honest in that the movie sucked, but the game is still cool.

Rockstar has announced that Max Payne 3 will be coming to stores shelves this winter for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. The game will tell the story of a retired police detective embroiled in a world of corruption, turmoil, and violence.

Payne is still out to avenge the death of his family in the franchises third installment. Max leaves New York behind and has Max double-crossed and away from home trapped in a city filled with violence where he looks for the truth and a way out of the city. Sounds like a cool premise for the game, I hope it's as innovative as the original.
