Google announces Google Ventures, Google's new venture capital fund. Google wants to support innovation and encourage promising new technology companies.
At its core, Google Ventures is charged with finding and helping to develop exceptional start-ups. Google will be focusing on early stage investments across a diverse range of industries, including consumer Internet, software, clean-tech, bio-tech, health care and, and more. So send in your idea now to Google.
Every large company that has coffers full of cash is well guided to run a venture fund. This way they get in on any new trend early to protect their future. If the venture fund is well managed, they even can make some serious cash. Thinking about it, maybe I should start a Venture Fund too. Oh, I forget, I do not have these coffers full of cash.
