Whereas the WD system has an HDMI connection, the Seagate offering lacks that. Why they would skip an HDMI connection on an HD device is beyond me and will be the kiss of death for the product to many users.
Seagate offers component, S-Video, and composite video out. The Seagate FreeAgent hard drive docks on the front of the machine. The system also lacks support for H.264 and mkv files. The device will reportedly cost £65 without a hard drive.
