Samsung says that the system can be upgraded to 7.1 with two more speakers that are sold separately. The amp supports full 1080p video pass through and supports HD audio pass through as well. The system calibrates itself to the room automatically.
Connectivity options include three HDMI inputs and a single HDMI output allowing multiple devices to be connected to the TV with only one cable. The speaker cones are made from bio kelp instead of paper for a greener design. Total power is 650 watts in 5.1 mode and 850 watts in 7.1 mode. The sub woofer is an active system and an FM tuner is built-in. Pricing for the system is $499.99 and it will be available this month.
