As of yesterday, 1st April 2009 Flip Video has changed it’s Distribution partner to Widget UK Ltd, the specialist distributor of consumer electronics.
Up until yesterday all of the distribution was covered by Gem, who played a big part in the UK launch of both the Flip Ultra and Flip Mino. Flip Ultra was launched in the UK in June ’08 and the Flip Mino in October ’08, both to wide scale acclaim and demand, making an impact on the UK market valued at over £340 million.In addition to Flip Video, Widget UK Ltd distributes a tightly focussed range of satellite navigation, pocket computing, and mobile scanning products to UK retailers and resellers including DSGi, Maplin, Amazon.co.uk, Play.com, QVC, and others.
