Ritz Camera To Close Over 300 Stores Across The Country

Ritz Camera has announced that it will be closing over 300 of its retail stores across the country. The announcement comes after the company announced this year that it would be filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

The camera chain has over 800 locations around the country and the closure will leave about 400 locations in operation. Ritz says that the stores closing have more than $50 million in inventory that will be liquidated and substantial discounts will be offered starting on April 4th.

Ritz says that thousands of different products will be offered in the close out sales including digital cameras, DSLRs, digital picture frames, camcorders and more. The store closings are blamed on the poor economy and reduced consumer spending.
