The drives are performance tunes for 140MB/s sustained sequential data rates and ATA-7 streaming commands for high-speed transfers. The drives also feature built-in error recovery for non-stop streaming, thermal monitoring, and reporting.
The drives come in 1TB, 500GB, and 250GB capacities and spin at 7200 rpm. The interface used is SATA 3Gbps. The drives can handle 47 simultaneous video streams in 704x576 resolution. At idle the drives need 5 watts of power for the 250GB version and 7 watts for 500GB and 1TB capacities.
