The new iPhone 2009 draws closer, which is very exciting. New rumors point towards Apple having started production of the new iPhone, which is expected to be released or announced in June.
Digitimes reports that Apple has supposedly ordered 100 million 8Gb NAND flash chips. Why would Apple order so much flash memory? Exactly. To put them into shiny new iPhones.
According to Fortune, analyst Shaw Wu from Kaufman Bros. expects Apple to build 5-6 million new iPhones.
Shaw Wu predicts Apple will make a new power user iPhone 2009 and a version that has less hardware and battery performance.
