The Samsung Eternity touchscreen phone available on AT&T is the bestselling phone on LetsTalk and is of course free with a new contract. Reason enough to tak closer look at this Samsung device.

The Samsung Eternity isn’t just a phone, it’s a total entertainment package says the Korean electronics giant. It is a fully equipped touch screen device with lots of features and takes full advantage of 3G high-speed technology. Highlights of the Eternity include AT&T Mobile Music, AT&T Mobile TV, a 3.0 megapixel camera, GPS and 200MB of built-in memory.Featuring a black and chrome exterior, its large 3.2-inch touch screen and 240 x 400 pixel resolution provides subtle vibrations that confirms selections. You can access the on-screen QWERTY keyboard in landscape or portrait mode.

The Samsung Eternity has an integrated 3.0-megapixel camera with brightness control and camcorder that shoots videos of up to one hour long. In addition it features 3x Digital Zoom and enables taking still pictures with Multishot and Timershot capabilities.

The SAMSUNG Eternity is powered by an ENERGY STAR qualified adaptor and the Lithium ion battery provides up to 5 hours of talk time without recharging and can keep the phone in the standby mode for 250 hours.

The Samsung Eternity comes with AT&T Mobile Music and 3G speed, which lets you play and download and save (with the built-in microSD memory card slot supporting up to 8GB) all your favorite tunes and ringtones. It can store both Polyphonic and MP3 ringtones and also store up to 72 Polyphonic ringtones.

The Samsung Eternity is a slim, sleek, stylish touch screen device measuring 4.3” x 2.2” x 0.5”(HxWxD) and weighing around 3.88 oz. It features a 200MB shared MP3 and camera memory storage and up to 1000 alphanumeric phone book entries can be stored. With the AT&T Navigator, the SAMSUNG Eternity gives you GPS-enabled turn-by-turn directions, maps, traffic updates and more.

The other miscellaneous features of Samsung Eternity include full HTML web browser, AT&T Mobile TV, document viewer, file explorer, voice memo and voice mail features for corporate users, predictive Text Input T9 (handwritten recognition feature), Email, Instant Messaging, Outlook Sync and PC Sync Application and personal information management features such as Calendar, clock, alarm, memo book and worldtime.

The Samsung Eternity is aimed at entices both the younger generation and the corporate users. For the younger people its trendy look coupled with AT&T Mobile TV providing live broadcast, accessing the latest music via AT&T Music is definitely an advantage.
For corporate users, the host of personal information management features, the document and file viewer applications and the built-in handwritten recognition technology are definitely plus points for this device.

In our opinion the pros of SAMSUNG Eternity are definitely media features, attarctive design, 3.2-inch display, the TouchWIZ theme, higher-capacity battery.
The major drawbacks of the phone are that it is not equipped with Wi-Fi capabilities and the camera has no flash. Voice dialing is also left off this phone. Many people rely on voice dialing while driving and on an all-touch phone, dialing by touch is completely out of the question on the road.

The Samsung Eternity is available for free with a new AT&T Service Plan.
