Sonos has released an update for the iPhone controller application allowing easy control over a Sonos whole home music network. The free update to the software works with the iPhone, iPhone 3g, and iPod touch and offers new features.

Users of the control software can now access alarms, computer-free set up, and other features. The app is available as a free download from the store. The app is available for multiple languages including English, Spanish, and German.

With the software, users can wake to music from Sonos along with creating or deleting alarms. Falling asleep to music from Sonos is easy with timers that can turn the music off when you want. Network music folders can now be accessed from the app without needing a computer and the system can now playback DRM protected WMA files from the Zune Marketplace.
