As reported yesterday actor Ashton Kutcher is racing CNN to be the first to have 1 million followers on Twitter. Right now the Kutcher's aplusk account has 998,162 followers and is growing pretty fast. The million is just minutes away.
Update: Ashton Kutcher won the race. He will actually be on Oprah tomorrow to talk about Twitter, you know what that means - all of America is going to get a Twitter account, because Oprah says so.
CNNbrk is behind by over 1,000 followers standing currently at 996,691.
Actor Ashton Kutcher kicked off the race last week. There is a good cause in this race as both CNN and Ashton Kutcher pledge to donate 10,000 mosquito bed nets to charity for World Malaria Day in late April ($100,000 Donation). Additionally the lucky 1,000,000th follower will become a character in Sims 3 sponsored by EA.
Ashton Kutcher is live at Ustream. There are over 10,000 viewers on his stream and it started to get choppy. See the video stream below. You can follow I4U News on Twitter here.
